Tattoo

I'm hoping to add to my tattoo collection this year

❤Sarah McNeil's Pet Portraits❤

I would love one of these for every last one of my past and present pets. That is probably about 30 if you include all of the Dogs,horses, Gerbils, Rabbits, hamsters, cats, and the Guinea pig we shared our lives with.

Menagerie

One of my most favourite humans (my boyfriend), bought me Menagerie by Sharon Montrose for Christmas. It is possibly definitely the best book I have ever owned.

Menagerie is full of Sharon Montrose's minimalist animal portraits, most of which are framed in beautiful and imaginative ways, and all pulled together with illustrations by Julianna Swaney. Perfect really!

It makes me ever more eager to expand my own menagerie, which is currently standing at one rabbit. One day I will add dogs, more rabbits, birds, ducks, chickens and pigs to the list. One day!

Happy new Year!

I hope you had a wonderful New Year. I spent mine in Thorpeness, a whimsical village in Suffolk where ten of us hired a cottage and had a pretty relaxed time.

I'm really glad 2011 is over. It wasn't the best year. I really hope 2012 brings more opportunity and excitement. I'm not really one for making unachievable resolutions so this year I have just set myself two fairly easy but productive goals.  The first is to be generally less lazy and more organised and the second is to finish all of my unfinished craft projects and design and knit lots more samples or Oh Knit!
